Job Description:

EMCO Corporation is growing both organically and through a dedicated acquisition strategy and offers excellent career opportunities for high performers encouraging initiative, new approaches and leadership at all levels.

Position Summary:

The RM will play an integral role in developing, setting and executing on the strategic direction for both the  the Region and the Plumbing Division as a whole. The region currently consists of 14 locations (known as Profit Centres (PC’s)).

Included in the strategic vision and execution are the following:

  • Develop, Communicate and Deliver on Long-Term Regional Vision and Plans - The RM will develop a roadmap to clearly define objectives and goals on a 3, 5, and 10-year horizon.  This includes strategic alignment and relationships with select strategic vendors and customer segments.
  • Select and Develop a Team of World-Class Talent and Leadership - The RM will recruit, develop, retain, and grow a network of world-class Profit Centre Managers (PCM) who partner effectively across the organization. The development of talent includes: Management Development Program, Accelerated Management Development Program, Strategic Development Program, development of internal high-potentials, attracting superior outside talent, and succession planning.
  • Drive Growth and Business Expansion - A successful RM will use organic growth, green-field expansion and acquisitions to increase scale, financial results, and market relevance.  The RM will foster an environment via the PCM’s that allows them to identify and grow new market opportunities. The RM will take the lead responsibility on acquisitions across the Region.
  • Core Values and Key Business Principles - The RM will be responsible for living, protecting, teaching, and promoting our core values of Fairness and Caring, Trust and Respect, Generous Listening, and Straight Talk.
  • Establish and Promote a Culture of High Expectations - The Regional Manager will set clear performance expectations to achieve world-class performance, leading with a strong personal work ethic and operating with the highest integrity.
  • Champion our Business Model- Take a foundational approach focused first on Leadership, People, Customers and Vendors, all leading to desired Results founded on high expectations and a strong operational footprint.
  • Manage Key Business and Financial Expectations - Drive world-class performance while maintaining a strong operation and controls environment. Promote the EMCO business model while maximizing operating performance, profit share per teammate, ROI, and market share.
  • Foster Cooperation and Sharing - Inspire collaboration while respecting the independence of the Profit Centre.  Be present and accessible for all teammates.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationships - Strengthen influential relationships based on our business model, core values, integrity, straight talk, and mutual success. Coordinate Sales efforts for major national customers and executive sponsorship on large contracts.
  • Provide Inspirational Leadership - A Regional Manager will be responsible for inspiring our Key Business Principles:

Qualifications:
  • Accomplished leader with excellent communication skills and a stellar reputation for ethics and integrity
  • Extensive wholesale distribution experience or equivalent, including P&L responsibility and growth initiatives
  • Driven, energetic, well-organized, entrepreneurial, disciplined, servant leader, resilient, courageous, able to stand tall for the business/region best interest
  • Strategic thinker who possesses excellent general management, sales management and business development skills coupled with strong financial acumen and operational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
