Other Conditions: On private funds, temporary, part-time, non-tenure track, annually renewable depending on performance, departmental needs and/or funding availability. To begin approximately July 2025 subject to position clearance and availability of funds.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Under general supervision, faculty at this rank tutor in units, perform tasks, develop learning resources, or serve as clinical skills preceptors.
  2. Responsible for teaching, supervising, and training of medical students, residents and fellows in obstetrics/gynecology and women’s health.
  3. Serve as a resource person in their area of specialization and give lectures or conferences/colloquia upon request.
  4. Serve as a Medical Student Advisor and/or Resident or Fellow mentor.
  5. Provide clinical care of patients both in an ambulatory/outpatient and tertiary hospital settings at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, The Queens Medical Center and/or other medical institutions affiliated with the John A. Burns School of Medicine.
  6. Provide Labor and Delivery and Hospitalist on-call coverage as assigned by the division chief and for the supervision of medical students, residents and fellows in clinical care.
  7. Serve on Departmental and/or University committees.
  8. Perform research, clinical administration or comparable scholarly activity.
  9. Work with affiliate organization and/or specialized groups as needed.
  10. Perform related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. MD Degree or equivalent medical degree from a medical school of recognized standing.
  2. Board certified (within 7 years) or an active candidate for board certification with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  3. Must have a current Hawaii medical license or have Hawaii medical license by date of hire.
  4. Demonstrated ability in teaching, research and patient care.
  5. Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others.

Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Experience working in a multicultural environment.
