Banquet Sous Chef
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Banquet Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of all food items for banquets, outlets, and employee cafeterias, following standardized recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure the consistent quality, taste, and appearance of all dishes served.
- Support the Executive Chef in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen, work areas, and storage spaces.
- Minimize waste and optimize cost-efficiency while maximizing production output.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary to meet operational needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a banquet or large-scale food service environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety standards.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and adapt to menu changes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations in a commercial kitchen.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of progressive Banquet Kitchen experience in a hotel or a related field.
- Must be computer proficient in company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing,
- identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and
- consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic
- functions.
