Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Casino Shift Manager (Cardroom) to assist the CSM in overseeing the smooth operation of the cardroom during assigned shifts. This leadership role ensures compliance with gaming regulations, promotes exceptional guest service, and supports team performance in a fast-paced environment. In the absence of the Shift Manager, individual will fulfill his/her role.
Responsibilities:- Assist Casino Shift Manager by overseeing operations and ensuring that gaming processes are run in a manner that exemplifies our core values and we are in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.
- In the absence of the Casino Shift Manager individual must assume its role; as such, all duties of the Casino Shift manager must be enforced and followed by promoting Culture of Excellence among staff and provides leadership to its team by being a role model to others.
- Assist the Casino Shift Manager with performance evaluations; coaching and counseling; discipline and commendations. Identifies critical positions in the department and follows action plans that the Casino Shift Manager has created.
- Ensure and oversee full compliance of regulations, i.e., gaming, Title 31 regulations.
- Resolve all customer complaints quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer following casino standards.
- Ensure team members have the proper tools and training to effectively and safely perform their jobs. Plans and facilitates training programs.
- Keep a high profile in the gaming area, greet customers, and resolve all customer complaints quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Ensure customer service standards are met by overseeing tables in assigned area(s) that may include, paying attention to player’s attitudes, alcohol consumption and offensive language.
- Will assess business levels to optimal game play.
- Oversee that all processes including dealer rotation are conducted in a fair manner and conducts random audits.
- Fill in as needed where there is a staff shortage.
- Other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management
- Strong Knowledge of all Casino Table Games
- Minimum of 10 years Casino games experience
- Minimum 3 years’ managerial experience
- Ability to work any shift and handle multiple tasks
- Able to pass mandatory screening including a background and credit check, and drug test.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Key License through the California Gambling Commission and a City License.
- Possess a detailed knowledge of all games operated at the casino.
- computer skills with the ability to use computers and related technology to perform fundamental tasks, i.e. use of email system; make presentations, work with application software, access databases.
- Skilled problem solver.

- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent skills in customer relations.
- Possesses knowledge and experience of best practices, laws and regulations, policies and procedures specific to the gaming industry.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, professional journals and government regulations.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers or upper management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Hospitality Management or related filed preferred (equivalent experience in gaming operations may be considered in lieu of degree).
Experience:
Knowledge of Poker and California Games required. Comprehensive knowledge of table games yield management. At least three years’ experience in the gaming industry as Gaming Shift supervisor or Floor Supervisor strongly preferred.
Physical and mental requirements:
- Position requires constant walking and standing to monitor floor activities effectively.
- Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
