Shift: Monday - Friday 5am - 2:30pm

Pay: $22.50/hr

Location: Pen Argyl, PA

Position: 

Techo-Bloc’s Scale House Clerks are responsible for weighing the inbound and outbound trucks at our Pen Argyl location. As a key collaborator of the yard management team, our clerks use their keen eye to inspect materials, create documentation and ensure logistical accuracy.  

  Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Greet our Customer trucks by collecting their transport orders (TO #). 
• Print transport orders and coordinate ticket distribution to forklift operators. 
• Record the weights of inbound and outbound trucks. 
• Document, verify and inspect all deliveries, including aggregates and raw materials. 
• Maintain detailed reports of product sample requests and data. 
• Conducts load verifications and prints shipping manifests for customer delivery. 
• Assist with loading flatbed trailers, dry vans and containers 
• May load customer orders when applicable and assigned 
• Prepares sample orders when applicable and assigned.  
• Conducts inventory counts when assigned. 
• Interface with yard leaders, truck drivers and outside haulers. 
• Exemplify a willingness to grow within the organization by assisting with yard dutie

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• A strong communicator; you’re comfortable interfacing with drivers, employees, and leaders. 
• Detail-oriented; you have a sharp eye for inconsistencies and imperfection. 
• Highly Organized; you love to document the details. 

Education and Experience: 

• 1+ years’ experience as a scale house clerk, or relevant experience. 
• Strong computer skills; previous experience creating documentation, data entry, or relevant experience. 
• Comfortable operating a forklift, as needed.

Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
