Assistant Corporate Counsel en TQL (Total Quality Logistics)

About the RoleAs an Assistant Corporate Counsel at TQL, you will proactively mitigate legal risk and manage a variety of legal matters, with a focus on employment, transportation, compliance, contracts and litigation. You’ll work closely with management and business units to see legal issues through to completion. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will help shape TQL’s continued success. What you'll be doingAdvise management on general and specialized legal matters, including litigation, transportation law, employment law, contracts, compliance and governanceProvide analysis and guidance on litigation strategy, working with internal and external counselOversee and coordinate litigation matters, including discoveryManage employment and cargo claims, collaborating with third-party administratorsAdvise on insurance coverage and risk management for claimsSupport employment, compliance, collections and claims issuesCollaborate with departments to evaluate issues and provide legal adviceDevelop innovative solutions to mitigate legal risk and support TQL objectivesDistill complex legal principles into clear, actionable guidanceDevelop, audit, and maintain corporate policies and procedures for complianceTake on additional legal duties as new opportunities ariseWhat you'll needJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to a state bar associationAt least 2+ years of legal experience in a major law firm or corporate law environmentExperience managing various types of litigationKnowledge of the transportation industry a plusExcellent business acumen and judgmentAbility to understand business needs and contextualize legal riskStrong research, communication and project management skillsProven relationship-building skills with leadership and counselInfluencing and persuasive skillsAbility to handle difficult situations effectivelyProactive self-starter, able to work independently and as a team playerFlexible, go-getter attitude willing to tackle new projectsWhere you'll be: 4289 Ivy Pointe Blvd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245 Solicitar ahora
