Property Accountant

Position Overview:
The Property Accountant will support the accounting function by managing AR and GL processes, performing reconciliations, and providing financial insights for a portfolio of multifamily properties. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of lease and accounting data entered into Yardi. 
- Review delinquency reports and collaborate with managers to maximize collections. 
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations. 
- Post month-end close journal entries. 
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. 
- Provide insights on property performance during monthly reviews. 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 
- 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience. 
- Property management or residential real estate accounting experience preferred. 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred. 
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. 
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
