Full Time
The Guernsey Police and Probation Service are seeking to appoint two candidates to the role of Public Protection Support Officer (PPSO). It is intended that the primary focus of one role will be to support the assessment and management of risk through the Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) while the primary focus of the other will be to support administrative and intervention processes related to domestic abuse. Both roles will work closely with Guernsey Police and the Probation Service and are designed in such a way that the successful candidates will provide resilience for each other across the range of duties described.
The PPSO's will undertake an active role in case and risk management of perpetrators of domestic abuse and sexual offending. The roles will also include co-facilitating group work programmes, including the Sarnia Programme, and will combine administrative and coordination-based tasks. In addition, they will support partner agencies in the assessment and management of high-risk clients.
Whilst the role will be based within the Guernsey Probation Service, the post holder may be required to work from the Guernsey Police Offender Management Unit at Police Headquarters.

Law Enforcement Vetting:
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Law Enforcement Vetting Form. In order to satisfy residency criteria you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 5 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey.
