About the job: 

Kent is looking for a Human Resources Manager based in Bogota, Colombia.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team to support a dynamic engineering office with international reach. As an HR Manager you will be developing and implementing a wide range of strategic HR activities to support the evolving needs of the business. This role demands a unique combination of innovative thinking and operational prowess, requiring you to effortlessly transition between providing creative solutions and day-to-day transactional execution.

The ideal candidate will be an agile and creative problem-solving HR professional who can:

  • Develop and implement innovative HR processes that support operational needs and contribute to overall business success.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policies, practices, and programs to leaders and employees within the operations.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by aligning leadership, employees, processes and resources to maximize performance, productivity and overall project success.
  • Skillfully handle complex employee relations issues while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Skills and Responsibilities:  

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement HR processes specifically tailored to support the Colombia operations’ requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to leaders and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Advise and coach business leaders on all aspects of performance management, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive organizational alignment by integrating leadership, employees, processes, and resources for optimal performance, productivity, and project outcomes.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, maintaining a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, talent retention, and engagement initiatives, ensuring business units are resourced with top talent.
  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and diverse work culture, supporting business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging by developing programs and initiatives that celebrate diversity and promote equity across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to embed inclusive practices into workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Anticipate business challenges and recommend creative HR solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive or support change management, communication, employee development, and HR project delivery as required.

 

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

 

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:   

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with a proven record in the energy, oil & gas or engineering project environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of applicable Colombian legislation and regulatory HR guidelines.

 

 

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
