Location: All Endoscopy/Clinics of Gastroenterology of the Rockies Locations

 

 

Position Summary: 

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is a rapidly growing Gastroenterology practice in Boulder County and the greater Denver Metro area with eight office locations and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers. 
 

This position will be responsible for the inspections buildings, equipment, and systems for any issues. Additionally, they will schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures. They also perform general maintenance of all facilities. They must be able to work independently and use critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol (available 24/7 for a business operating M-F, generally daytime hours)
  • Repair and maintain building interiors – drywall repairs, doors/locks, painting
  • Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems
  • Document inspection/testing/maintenance of fire, nurse call, and life safety systems in accordance with health and safety regulations - promptly schedule repairs with contracted vendors when necessary
  • Familiarity with healthcare settings and infection control protocols desired.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • OSHA standards and regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable with strong communication skills. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with peers, managers, members of other departments, physicians, and those from outside the company.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, life safety and HVAC systems
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Travel required – reliable transportation is a must

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
