Position: Line Supervisor (Production/Repair)
Location: Melbourne, FL (onsite)
Shift: Mon to Fri from 9:30a to 6:00p
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity overseeing a manufacturing, repair, and/or assembly line.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Preferred:
- Experience with Kaizen and/or Lean principles
Summary
The Line Supervisor manages a team to oversee efficient, safe, and high-quality production, responsibilities include scheduling, monitoring output, training staff, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety, and implementing continuous improvements to meet production targets and deadlines. They will collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Production & Operations: Schedule production activities, monitor processes, and troubleshoot issues to maintain a consistent workflow.
- Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor production staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adequate staffing for daily tasks.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality standards to ensure the final product meets company and customer expectations.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and regulations, provide safety training, and ensure the production environment is safe for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in good working order and properly maintained.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and implement initiatives to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
- Reporting & Analysis: Record and report on production data, analyze performance, and prepare reports for management on production metrics.
