We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner to join our team in the Jacksonville, FL-HQ location. This position will be on-site.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The successful candidate will serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, while acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HR Business Partner will assess and anticipate HR-related needs, communicate proactively with our HR department, and seek to develop integrated solutions.

Essential Job Functions

      • Act as an expert advisor by coaching leaders at various levels on complex leadership and talent issues including capacity planning, staffing, employee development, engagement, elevating performance, and addressing performance issues. 
      • Act as a strategic partner to business unit leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
      • Support Head of HR and co-lead complex initiatives where the impact is significant in supporting the internal customer needs. 
      • Partners with and supports the business unit in development efforts.
      • Support Head of HR on new store openings and acquisitions to execute on workforce.
      • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
      • Recommend new approaches and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
      • Support Head of HR as the business continues to optimize with a goal of providing an excellent customer and employee experience.
      • Co-lead various HR projects as neede.
      • Maintain employee records related to compensation and other personnel changes. 
      • Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
      • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
      • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts lead effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
      • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
      • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education:
      • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required.
  • License & Certifications:
      • PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a plus
  • Experience:
      • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope. Experience in high-growth organizations preferred.
  • Abilities:
      • Data literacy with strong business acumen.
      • Proven ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships in a fast, ever-changing work environment.
      • Drives for results in a proactive, collaborative, accountable, and analytical manner.
      • Able to prioritize multiple projects in a busy, demanding environment.
      • Able to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to rapidly changing situations.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
      • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies and practices.
      • Competency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
