Job Title: Vehicle Public Safety Technician/Upfitter

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $22-35+ depending on experience

Location: Alt Fuel Innovations, Kansas City, MO

If you love working on cars and have experience with car audio, alarms, or remote starts, you might be interested in joining our fast-growing team at AFI. We upfit vehicles for public safety like police cars, fire trucks, and security vehicles. We're looking for hands-on techs who know 12-volt wiring and enjoy clean, professional installs.

Position Overview: As a 12V / Vehicle Technician you will be installing lights, sirens, cameras, and consoles in vehicles. You will be wiring everything in a clean and professional manner, following schematics and installing guides, as well as building and prepping equipment before installation. The goal is to make sure that every vehicle leaves AFI ready for service.

Responsibilities:

· Install equipment like lights, sirens, cameras, and consoles

· Ability to wire all wires in a clean and safe manner

· Follow schematics and install guides

· Build and prep equipment before installation

· Ensure that every vehicle leaves AFI road ready

Qualifications:

· Basic 12V wiring experience

· Ability to read install diagrams

· Comfortable using tools and working on vehicles

· Valid driver's license

· Experience with car audio, alarms, and remote starts preferred but not required

· Familiar with emergency of fleet vehicle upfitting preferred but not required
