We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of infant care and hospital medicine, with a commitment to providing high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to critically ill newborns while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for infants in the NICU, monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and document findings accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate families on infant care practices, discharge instructions, and follow-up care requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices within the NICU setting.
Requirements
Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
Certifications: BLS, NRP
Charting System: Epic
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to neonatal care.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly within an Ambulatory Surgery Center or NICU, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to administer injections safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with standards of care specific to neonatal patients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
