Accounts Payable Specialist

Wendle Motors in Spokane, WA, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Admin team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the entire accounts payable process from verifying invoices and reconciling accounts to maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring accurate, timely payments.

Schedule & Pay:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with an emphasis in Accounts Payable
• Associate degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to reconcile accounts, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Experience in automotive or dealership accounting a plus

Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate manager authorization
• Post bills to purchase orders, ensuring proper matching and timely closings
• Reconcile accounts payable, sublet, prepaid, and fixed asset accounts; submit monthly to Office Manager
• Prepare and file 1099s per federal requirements
• Maintain vendor files, tax compliance (W-9s, resale certificates), and credit applications
• Ensure all payments are accurate, timely, and properly documented
• Provide monthly analysis of accounts and assist with reconciliations as needed
• Support strong vendor relationships through professionalism, responsiveness and great communication
• Contribute to team success by assisting with cross-department tasks when required
