What You’ll Do

As Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of 360° brand marketing plans across the UK & Ireland. You will be the key driver of local campaign strategy, working closely with Global and Regional teams to adapt brand priorities into high-performing local initiatives. This role will oversee key launches, retailer campaigns, and always-on brand-building activity across digital, trade, and experiential.

You will lead and manage a team including the Trade Marketing Manager and Assistant Marketing Manager, ensuring consistent brand expression across channels. You will work closely with the PR & Influencer Manager to ensure integration across earned and owned touchpoints.

 

 

What You’ll Be Working On

 

Brand Strategy & Campaign Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual UKI brand marketing calendar in alignment with global brand strategy.
  • Localise global brand campaigns and launches into market-relevant plans that drive brand awareness, desirability, and conversion.
  • Own cross-functional campaign planning, aligning trade, digital, PR, and sales to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns.
  • Ensure all activity reflects the Sol de Janeiro brand DNA, tone of voice, and aesthetic.

 

Retail & Trade Integration

  • Partner closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to ensure strong brand presence across key retailers
  • Own strategic retail campaign planning — from seasonal moments to major NPD
  • Identify opportunities for exclusive or bespoke activations that elevate brand storytelling at retail
  • Lead Digital support for key launches and paid/organic messaging

 

Digital Marketing Ownership

  • Own & lead UKI digital strategy with a strong retail focus
  • Ensure retailer.com excellence, including PDP optimisation, onsite visibility, and campaign landing page coordination
  • Lead retail media strategy in key retailers & definite trade opportunities

 

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage, mentor, and develop two direct reports (Trade Marketing Manager and Assistant Marketing Manager).
  • Collaborate with the PR & Influencer Manager to ensure campaigns are amplified through high impact earned media and advocacy.

 

Performance, Insights & Reporting

  • Monitor brand KPIs and campaign effectiveness, sharing insights to guide future planning.
  • Stay on top of local market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviours to inform local strategy.
  • Contribute to post-campaign recaps, best practice sharing, and global feedback loops.
  • Define and execute 3-year commercial strategy and budget plans to drive profitable growth.
  • Build and negotiate strategic Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key retail partners—defining mutual growth drivers, investment plans, and KPIs.
  • Own the omnichannel commercial strategy across department stores, beauty specialists, and digital channels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the commercial, field, and education teams—ensuring high performance and premium execution across retail.
  • Craft and present impactful sell-in stories that secure strong retailer support for innovations, campaigns, and activations.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with the trade marketing team to align retailer activations with brand priorities and commercial goals.
  • Oversee 360° activation plans for launches and campaigns, covering in-store, merchandising, online visibility, and influencer programming.
  • Monitor business performance, stock health, and SISO, proactively addressing risk areas including grey market.
  • Act as the senior commercial ambassador of the brand, building strong relationships with key retailers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with EMEA and APAC counterparts to exchange insights and drive growth across markets.

 

Must Haves

  • 6+ years of experience in brand marketing or 360° marketing roles, ideally within premium beauty, skincare, or lifestyle categories.
  • Experience leading brand campaigns across retail, digital, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Strong people leadership skills; experience managing and mentoring team members.
  • Deep understanding of UK retail landscape and consumer behaviour.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded, and creatively driven.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and cross-functional influence.
  • Experience working within a global/local matrix structure is a plus.
