JOB PURPOSE:
The Program Coordinator will plan, implement, and execute programs for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. This position will provide direction and serve as the main contact for key programs and partners, primarily in southeastern Wisconsin. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the internal preparation, program set up, results, and strengthen and maintain relationships with community and agency partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary resource for assigned programs and projects for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
- Work cross-departmentally with fellow Food Systems staff, Volunteerism, and Operations to plan and execute program logistics and tasks.
- Support program partners through culturally competent communication, outreach, and ensure adherence to agency program agreements.
- Deepen existing and add new community partnerships (i.e., public, community-based-organizations, healthcare, etc.) to foster culturally responsive collaboration and build capacity to advance our solve hunger strategy for eastern Wisconsin.
- Act as a reference and problem-solving agent regarding budgeting and grant management for programs.
- Perform event coordination including directing volunteers, enforcing the flow of the event, and assisting site coordinators.
- Establish cross-department resources and provide opportunities for employees to participate in outreach efforts.
- Provide documentation to evaluate program impact and sustainability.
- Work with appropriate internal departments to secure culturally preferred, fresh, and healthy food for programs.
- Fill out requisition forms within designated timeframes and collaborate with procurement team to develop program menus.
- Monitor program fulfillment and troubleshoot as necessary to ensure successful distributions.
- Enter, monitor and close program orders and maintain donor and partner database records appropriately.
- Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with appropriate internal departments to ensure timely and high-quality program execution.
- Work with Food Systems Team and Finance Team on allocation of available funds and budget keeping for programs. Review and update grant budget on a regular schedule.
- Ensure appropriate staff are available to deliver program products and supplies prior to the start of the distribution. This may include driving a non-CDL vehicle when necessary.
- Oversee smart locker locations and troubleshoot system as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate or Bachelor’s (preferred) degree.
- Minimum three years’ experience in project/program planning and execution is required.
- Excellent communications, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be comfortable addressing groups of 10 or more.
- the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work safely following FAEW safety procedures.

- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and database programs.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple priorities.

- Ability to use keyboard, manipulate objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance that meets Feeding America’s liability requirements and transportation to travel to work sites.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, bend, twist, climb, reach above shoulders, kneel, squat, sit, stand, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to lift, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee must have the ability to work in a cold environment -10 to +10 degrees Fahrenheit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while moving inventory. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Protective Clothing Required: Close-toed shoes, Warm clothing when working in cold environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a warehouse/office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
