Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete knowledge of the menu
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
• Deliver dishes to maintain fast service
• Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff
• Assist wait staff in carrying trays and bringing food to tables.
• Maintain stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.
• Perform all opening and closing side work as required.
• Follow company and equipment standards.
• Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Food Runners are required to work shifts outside, in changing temperatures, as well as on a floating dock that could move.

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. No experience required.
• Ability to communicate verbally with other dining room staff in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to feel, pull, push, and lift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
