Position Summary:  The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, creating production plans, and managing work orders in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to ensure product availability and supply chain efficiency. They will collaborate closely with procurement and manufacturing to anticipate customer needs, optimize inventory levels, and drive operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and customer inputs.
  • Identifies issues, risks and opportunities to be addressed in long-range capacity planning
  • Provide coverage for the Master Scheduler when needed
  • Works with operations to define long range objectives and goals and critical areas to be addressed through planning. 
  • Defines key planning deliverables and timelines and develop a planning process to successfully meet those.
  • Adjust plans based on changes in customer demand, inventory levels, or capacity constraints.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitor daily and weekly production schedules to align with forecasted demand.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Possesses the ability to deliver on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.  
  • Possesses strong attention to detail.
