Material Handling at Ichor IPW Fremont, CA manufacturing site. Shipping and Receiving.
Responsibilities
- Remove shipped materials from delivery vehicles to designated storage destination.
- Receives incoming components from outside vendors and stores parts in proper bin locations.
- Examine receiving documents for storage destination.
- Pull stored materials for orders and move to production or shipping area.
- Document information relating to receipt, storage, or distribution of materials.
- Operate materials handling equipment to move large volumes of materials.
- Participates in monthly inventory cycle counts.
- Use computer systems to locate materials.
- Work independently with normal to moderate supervision.
- Maintains accurate computerized records to assure accurate inventories of raw stock and purchased components.
- Keeps Kitting Lead informed on any needs for expedicted components. Nofities Kitting Lead of any needs for modifications in database.
- May assist in Material prep area as needed to assure desired results in a safe and timely manner.
- Participates in the safety program and contributes to a safe clean work environment.
- Maintains accurate computerized records to assure accurate inventories of raw stock and purchased components.
- Keeps Kitting Lead informed on any needs for expedited components. Notifies Kitting Lead of any needs for modifications in database.
- Maintain logs and other necessary documents.
- May train less skilled technicians and operators.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Advanced skills in the procedures, techniques, tools and processes related to material handling.
- Ability to read and comprehend shop travelers, written instructions and shop prints at the appropriate level.
- Ability to perform the required computer operations in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Ability to correctly identify stock components for kitting.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to leads, supervisors and managers.
- Good math skills and ability to utilize standard precision measuring instruments to inspect dimensions accurately within .005 and angles within .5°
- Solid customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English.
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices.
- Ability to recognize and calculate figures and amounts such as fractional size, decimal equivalent, and diameter. Ability to perform math problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems.
For candidates based in California: The pay range $21.73-36.92/hr, hourly, nonexempt.
