APPLICATIONS ANALYST POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Applications Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day management of assigned applications; web-based, networked, or stand-alone applications. The employee in this position must possess the ability to focus on multiple tasks and projects, work independently with little or no supervision, possess a high level of organizational skills, and flexibility. This employee must comply with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations. In addition, this employee will complete required training for the position to remain compliant for mandatory competencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensures that all assigned applications deployed go beyond implementation and reach the level of full integration, as well as maintain and enhance existing applications.
- Reviews assigned applications and processes to meet the ever-changing needs of WBC.
- Serves as an information conduit between Information Technology and end-user support, and software vendors to assist in resolving problems related to use of the application.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage time and projects efficiently.
- Ensures change management processes for applications.
- Provides effective professional internal & external customer service.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. This position may include driving a personal vehicle to a branch periodically for a meeting concerning the use of an application or the management of a particular system. (The amount of time a personal owned vehicle is used will be determined by supervisor). It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.
The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, sitting, walking, and standing.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, personal digital assistant (PDA) and/or Blackberry, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer and related printers, or other equipment as directed.

MENTAL DEMANDS
The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and periodic interruptions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or students working through authorized high school training program.
- Up to six months of similar or related experience
- Work related experience should consist of an Information Systems background with emphasis on Applications Management. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
- Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply sound judgement to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
