In this position, you will work closely with design engineering to complete the layout and verification of high-performance ESD and IO Pads using Cadence Virtuoso XL and Mentor's Calibre tools and work with circuit engineers to generate topological layouts to ensure optimal circuit performance.


Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting layout design issues and applying proactive intervention
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure proper circuit performance
  • Design ESD circuits.
  • Understand diode placements and implementation of guard rings.
  • Understand signal conditioning/protection techniques
  • Responsible for floor planning and block level-top level verifications.
  • Outstanding layout planning and integration skills


    • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electronic/IC layout CAD specialization or related program and 10+ years of IC layout experience
  • Knowledge in designing ESD circuits. As an ESD mask layout, you must be aware of diode placement, implementation of guard rings around sensitive areas, ensuring robust grounding connections to provide efficient discharge paths, etc.
  • Must have specialized knowledge in ESD protection techniques and strategies, including the ability to design layouts that mitigate the impact of Latch-up and electrostatic discharge.
  • Should be able to ensure good signal flow while floor planning and perform block-level and top-level verifications like DRC,LVS,EM/IR, etc. 
  • Should adapt to work across multiple nodes and communicate well with designers /management to understand the design needs/ project schedule and deadlines.
  • Ability to solve design problems while using a combination of technical skills, intuition, and creativity
  • Proficiency in floor planning activities with block assembly, and block-level routing
  • LVS troubleshooting and debug skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

    • Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • BSEE or BSEET Degree preferred
  • Comfortable with multiple IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute ideas for improved efficiency and automation of layout taskstasks.
