Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Area Sales Director is to lead and manage a team of Sales Representatives, Senior Account Executives, and Inside Sales Reps within your designated region. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, executing strategic initiatives, and ensuring the success of your team. You are accountable for regional revenue growth, customer relationships, and team development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct regional sales activities in line with company goals and budget.
- Drive top-line sales growth, foster positive selling environments, and support competitive conversions.
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate sales personnel; provide orientation and consistent guidance.
- Develop annual sales goals and projections with the VP of Sales.
- Fill open territories and provide full sales support when needed.
- Identify, hire, and retain top talent to strengthen the sales team.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; manage regional budget and expenses.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team (Account Executives, Sr. Account Executives, Sales Assistants).
- Maintain quarterly contact with accounts generating $100k+ revenue; grow accounts exceeding $100k by 3% per quarter.
- Build strong customer relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction.
- Support Account Executives in prospecting, customer meetings, and closing deals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing data-driven coaching.
- Ensure CRM accuracy and sales reporting compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Ops, C-Suite) to optimize customer experiences.
- Conduct team training, regular meetings, and quarterly field ride-alongs.
- Represent Movora at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Animal Health, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales leadership experience, ideally within the MedTech, Animal Health, or Healthcare industries.
- Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience leading and developing sales teams across multiple roles (Sales Representatives, Senior Account Executives, Sales Assistants).
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and expand market share across a regional or multi-state territory.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience managing budgets and P&L accountability at the regional level preferred.
- Strong forecasting, pipeline, and funnel management skills.
- Proven success in building and sustaining high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
- Passion for competitive conversions and driving market share.
- Hands-on leader with a growth mindset, willing to lead from the front and support their team.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the assigned region.
