Inventory Specialist
Department: Warehouse/Inventory
Reports To: Inventory Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Description: Active in multiple aspects of producing our parts inventory for sale and/or delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Using in-vehicle diagnostics and critical observation determine what parts can be added to our inventory via a series of processes and best practices.
- Vehicle VIN decoding using online web tools.
- Identify vehicle parts and specifications using industry specific tools and research.
- Photo documentation of automotive parts.
- Light mechanical tool use.
- Audits automotive parts/merchandise to ensure quality standards and resolve any discrepancies using our state of the art software.
- Asses & describe part condition using industry specific guidelines.
- Manages inventory efficiently and effectively by placing merchandise in an organized and understandable manner.
- Prepares parts/merchandise for storage and/or shipment using proper bagging, tagging, wrapping and packaging to prevent damage.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
Certificates and Licenses:
Quality Control and Forklift Training and Certifications are available onsite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear. While doing this job the employee will be primarily on their feet for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. For heavier merchandise lifting devices and/or assistance is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. This is a smoke free environment for safety reasons.
