Direct Support Professional- Grand Island- Evenings! en Hands of Heartland

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as Direct Support Professional/DSP at our residential locations and in community settings to support individuals with activities, habilitation, and daily living activities in Grand Island, NE. 

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings. 

Hours:

• Full-time and Part-time available.
• Evenings with every other weekend required. 

Shifts:

• Evening shift is 3p-11p
• All shifts require working every other weekend. 
• Flexible schedule is also available. 
  

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements: 

• Must be 18 years old. 
• Must be able to pass a background check. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
• Experience not required – we will train you!

Pay: $16/hour is starting. Pay range is $16-17 an hour. We pay more for direct experience and CNA license. We also offer CEUs for CNAs, allowing them to maintain an active license while doing meaningful work that transforms lives as a DSP!
