Towson University is seeking an Assistant Director of Restorative Practices for the Office of Student Accountability & Restorative Practices. This position promotes students’ sense of belonging and builds communication and conflict resolution skills through outreach, education, and facilitation of restorative practices. The Assistant Director supports the work of the Student Accountability & Restorative Practices team, supplementing facilitation of the Alternative Resolution Process and providing avenues for conflict resolution in relation to and separate from the accountability process. This position will play a critical role in supporting conflict resolution efforts within Housing and Residence Life, engaging students in proactive and responsive restorative interventions that foster a sense of belonging, improve communication, and equip students with conflict management skills. They serve as a resource to various university departments and partners regarding restorative practices and conflict resolution, and collaborate with campus partners who are also engaging in conflict resolution work.
