The Field Service Technician is responsible for the design, installation, service, and maintenance of computer-based integrated electronic security systems including access control, video, camera, intrusion detection, intercom, and other alarm systems.
- Pay Range: $28/hr. - $33/hr.
- Base pay may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience.

- Enclosure and junction box mounting, conduit raceway installation, cable pulling and terminating, camera mounting
- Design, repair, operate, install, test, and troubleshoot integrated and complex electronics systems
- Maintain electronic security systems for access control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection
- Collects, Maintains, and updates asset data for client operations
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Create documentation for project activity audit trail
- Troubleshoots problems to come up with the solution(s)
- Pursues continuous learning and shares knowledge with others
- Knowledge of the principles of electricity and electronics
- Experience with cable pulling, box and camera mounting, and conduit installation
- Knowledge of generally accepted technical (electronic) theory
- Understanding of Video Management Systems
- Electronic System Installation and troubleshooting skills-specifically access control, intrusion, and video systems
- Familiar with installing low voltage cabling and conduit for access control, intrusion, and video systems
- Basic knowledge of networking hardware and how to troubleshoot issues
- Must have a driver's license in good standing and be able to pass a written driving test for airport driving.
- Ability to operate various lift types, such as scissor and boom, is a plus.
- Required to work on call and extra hours as needed at both O'Hare and Midway Airports
- Demonstrate good analytical capability and current technical knowledge
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Good Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Able to interact with others in a team environment
- Good analytic ability
- Open-minded/willing to learn – good attitude, as this is a client-facing position.
- Travel to other client sites in company vehicle
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must pass approval procedure for IDFPR PERC
- Must pass approval for airport badge
- Must pass approval for Custom and Border Protection airport access
