About the Opportunity
Our Calgary office is looking to add 2 enthusiastic, service-minded Project Operations Coordinators to join our team on a temporary 8-month term. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly collaborative environment and work alongside our team of engineering, planning, and drafting specialists.
Coupled with the diverse learning and project experience opportunities, do you see yourself excited to contribute to:
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation and filing information to ensure accuracy and accessibility throughout all project phases.
- Supporting the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, including compiling documentation, tracking deliverables, and assisting with compliance requirements.
- Coordinating project schedules, assisting with construction management, and preparing reports.
- Facilitating and tracking approvals, ensuring timely submissions and follow-ups.
- Providing support with construction inspections, site visits, and other field services.
- Collaborating and maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Assisting project managers with cost estimating, quantity take-offs, and other tasks.
About You
This opportunity is well suited for students or new graduates from a Civil/Project Management Engineering Technologist diploma program with up to 2 years of relevant experience. We would also consider students or new grads with a business administration background
The core skills that will help you succeed here include:
- You are proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
- You have a strong understanding and a solid foundation in interpreting engineering drawings or have an aptitude to develop this skill.
- You are able to review and understand project specifications and contract documents to support project delivery.
- You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You communicate proactively, listen to others, and enjoy collaborating with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives.
- You possess a keen eye for detail and take great pride in your work, in projects both large and small.
- You are able to quickly shift and respond positively to changing conditions, priorities, and technologies.
- You are committed to ongoing personal and professional development. You take the initiative and enjoy taking ownership of your work.
- You are able to work independently, are a self-starter, and a strong teammate.
- You take initiative, are a problem solver, and continually deliver consistent, high-quality work.
- You have a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence, or equivalent, and are able to travel in Calgary for project work.
