Are you passionate about driving a culture of safety and operational excellence? Toll Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE Lead to champion Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) initiatives across our Retail Transport & Grocery operations nationally.
As part of our “One Toll” strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a safety-obsessed workplace, supporting our people, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance HSE performance across Transport and Linehaul.
More about the role:
• Lead the implementation of HSE strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop nationally dispersed HSE team members to build a high-performing function.
• Partner with business leaders to ensure compliance and drive safety excellence.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
• Act as TRAC Super User, providing training and support across sites.
• Deliver HSE training programs and support emergency preparedness activities.
• Provide expert HSE advice on risk management, legislation, and operational matters.
What You’ll Bring:
• 5–7 years’ experience in HSE roles within warehousing and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems (AS4801, ISO14001).
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive cultural change.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (tertiary qualifications highly desirable).
• Dangerous Goods and Environmental Management certifications (desirable).
