Job Description:Help The Persecuted (HTP) is seeking a part time Donor Engagement Coordinator to join our Advancement team, a team that works to mobilize and steward the relationships, prayer support, and financial resources needed so that no persecuted Christian is turned away due to lack of support. As the administrative right hand to the Donor Engagement Director, this person will serve in a vital role that enables leadership to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our generous supporters. We’re looking for a problem solver with strength in project management, organization, and administration, and who thrives when creating systems and processes that manage essential details without losing sight of the mission.
Responsibilities of the Donor Engagement Coordinator will include but are not limited to the following:
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
Maintain and update the donor database with accuracy and confidentiality
Process donor information, track giving history, and manage communications
Prepare thank-you letters, impact reports, and personalized donor correspondence on behalf of the Donor Engagement Director
Support donor recognition and cultivation activities
Assist with donor event logistics including invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up
Administrative & Operational Support
Provide administrative support to development leadership
Schedule donor meetings and manage calendars
Track deadlines and provide proactive reminders
Reconcile donations, pledges, and gifts
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
Coordinate and manage travel details for the Donor Engagement Director, including but not limited to airfare, transportation, lodging, meals, and meetings
Event Planning & Execution
Coordinate donor appreciation events and fundraising activities
Manage event logistics for a variety of small (i.e. dinner parties) and large events, coordinating vendors, venues, materials, and more
Track registrations and provide post-event follow-up
Assist with special projects including donor recognition gifts
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain donor records in the CRM system (HubSpot)
Generate donor activity reports, campaign performance, and giving trends
Conduct donor research and ensure data integrity
Track and report key performance indicators related to development, highlighting important metrics and details for the team
Special Projects & Hands-On Support
Prepare donor gift packages and seasonal fundraising mailings
Assist with grant applications and foundation relations
Provide flexible, hands-on support for ministry needs as they arise
Unquestioning alignment with Help The Persecuted’s Statement of Faith and eagerness to serve within a mission-driven, growing organization
Bachelor’s degree is preferable; an equivalent number of years of practical experience will be considered
2-3 years experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or related work is highly preferred
Experience in Christian ministry or faith-based organization strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); spreadsheet creation and maintenance required
Proficiency with CRM systems; HubSpot experience is ideal but not required
Comfortable learning and using new technology platforms, including AI tools such as Claude/ChatGPT
Experience with Zoom and virtual meeting support
Skilled in assisting with travel coordination and event management
Familiarity with project management practices and maintaining operational systems
Strong organizational, written, and communication skills, including ability to draft and send emails on behalf of leadership
Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Resourceful and innovative, able to adjust readily to a new projects and initiatives
Able to work independently and remotely, attending in-person meetings weekly and as needed
