Job Description:

CEDA is currently seeking a Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator for our Bonnyville, AB location. Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville or Cold Lake area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain Crane, picker trucks and/or boom trucks
  • Haul, load, and off-load equipment
  • Understand and obey all provincial and federal highway rules and regulations
  • Ensure equipment meets operation and safety requirements
  • Practice proper legal load securement
  • Take part in all safety meetings
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe and courteous manner
  • Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports, log book and safety documents
  • Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision

Qualifications:

  • Class 1 License preferred (will operate 45 ton picker at times)
  • Current 3 year abstract must have no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years
  • Familiarity with an 80 ton Terex RT Crane is beneficial
  • Journeyman Mobile Crane certification required
  • 2-3 years of experience operating a mobile crane
  • Must have a valid H2S Alive and CSO certificates
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Able to travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan (flexibility in schedule is required)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
  • Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Able to plan and organize tasks meeting deadlines with high performance
  • You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
