The Wolf Den Café Student Assistant plays an important role in providing high-quality food service in a clean, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests. This position supports the daily operations of the Wolf Den Café through food preparation, service, and sanitation duties while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts in a clean and appropriate uniform, including non-slip shoes.
- Maintain open and professional communication with managers and supervisors.
- Assist with various café operations including food prep, customer service, sanitation, and inventory.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with institutional and health regulations.
- Help ensure the café remains clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout service hours.
- Support daily production and service goals efficiently and reliably.
- Uphold Keuka College’s values by maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with all customers and team members.
- Attend required training sessions and team meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and student privacy in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by AVI Fresh or Keuka College management.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements:
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional evening and weekend shifts required.
- Must provide your own non-slip shoes for safety.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled Keuka College student in the on-campus traditional undergraduate program.
- Eligible for Federal Work Study or Keuka College Work Study.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual – reliability is a must!
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage interruptions.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team and campus community.
