What You’ll Do:
As a Systems Administrator, you’ll ensure Meridian’s IT infrastructure—servers, applications, and associated hardware/software—runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and upgrading applications and servers for peak performance.
- Building, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting systems to maximize uptime.
- Installing and supporting operating systems, software, and applications.
- Acting as a first line of support for customers when requests fall outside other support channels.
- Partnering with third-party vendors to resolve application errors.
- Monitoring and adjusting user access, authentication, and permissions across internal and external systems.
- Collaborating with IT leaders and experienced team members to learn best practices.
- Troubleshooting and resolving systems issues while assisting end-users and technical staff.
- Supporting and coaching help desk staff on escalated tickets.
- Implementing and enforcing system and data security measures, including patches, audits, and policies.
- Managing backup and recovery processes and validating data integrity.
- Monitoring system performance and conducting capacity planning.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, guides, and troubleshooting resources.
- Exploring new tools, technologies, and processes to improve IT operations.
- Representing Meridian at conferences and networking events.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience
- No prior experience required.
- Two years of relevant experience preferred in a systems administration or related role, ideally with server/network experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

- Operating systems in an enterprise environment
- Network monitoring systems

- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues

- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Paid Time Off: Eligible to begin accrual from date of hire; accrual amount based on years of service. Beginning accrual rate equivalent to 22 days per year. 9 holidays which include the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. Up to 240 hours of PTO can roll over to the following year.
- Volunteer Time: 8 hours per year
- Retirement: Robust 401K. Following one year of eligible service, the Company contributes in two ways: (1) match of 100% of each dollar you contribute on the first five percent (5%) of eligible compensation, and (2) Employer basic contribution of 4% of base salary (with increases in basic contribution percentage based on years of service). Employees are 100% vested in Company funded contributions from the date they enter the plan.
