WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center is actively seeking a motivated Activity Aide for our community in New Castle, PA. Our Activity Aides provide the residents exciting, stimulating, and resident centered recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in planning, preparing, and executing of activities.
· Participate and lead group activities.
· Participate and lead 1:1 activity.
· Assure a safe and home like environment for our residents.
· Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
· Assist in the set – up and clean-up of activity space.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
· Creative background.
· Previous long-term care or experience working with the elderly or differently abled is preferred.
· Communicates professionally with all residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
· Ability to follow step by step procedures and programs.
