As a Colourist 1, you help bring Arc’teryx product to life! You are a natural communicator and eager collaborator: you will work with various internal and external partners daily to solve colour issues related to shade, feasibility, and colourfastness. You are flexible in the face of ambiguity and committed to digging into the daily and seasonal challenges that can come up when colouring up a complex technical product. In this role you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of raw materials, raw materialsquality testing and dyeing, so the opportunities for future career growth are limitless!
This is a 15-month temporary contract. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is expected to be performed on-location.

The Colour Operations is a close-knit team of hard-working collaborators. You will have your own portfolio of lab dips to work on, but we always jump in wherever needed to support the goals of the team.
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD $70,000 - CAD $88,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.

Owning a portfolio of lab dips.
Ensuring efficient processing of lab dips for, ensuring accurate colour accuracy and aherance to quality standards across a complex technical garment offering
Finding achievable solutions to problems related to colour feasibility, metamerism, colourfastness and shade.
Collaborating with internal partners: Colour Design, Planning, Materials, RM Quality to achieve our common goals
Staying abreast of colour quality industry, including digital tools, dyeing technology and testing methods

Are you our next Colourist 1?
You have 1.5 + years of experienceon a colour team in the apparel industry and have a comprehensive knowledge of the colour development process.
You have a degree in a related field or relevant combination of experience.
You have proficient experience with PLM software, Microsoft Office Suite,- especially excel, Spectrophotometer equipment, ASAP Natific Software.
You have a superior score on the Munsell Hue Colour test.
You have a growth mindset and seek to understand, delving into root cause analysis and developing solutions.
You are process orientated, organizationally orientated and a conscientious collaborator.
