The Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for driving leisure and business transient revenue through cultivating relationships with high-value clients, luxury travel partners, and corporate travel accounts. This role focuses on assisting with individual and long-term bookings, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring seamless guest experiences that uphold the prestige of The Boca Raton brand. 

 

Essential Functions 

 

Job duties include, although are not limited to: 

 

 

Team Segment: 

  • Be a positive contributor to the daily team environment and success of the sales team and overall financial objectives.
  • Develop & maintain strong business relationships with direct clients, business travel clients, the travel industry and internal clients.
  • Remain flexible in a demanding, sales-focused environment. Welcome new tasks, training and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Express a desire to continually learn and develop oneself.
  • Create positive relationships with other departments to ensure the success of all guests and leisure customers.

 

Sales & Business Development: 

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to maximize leisure and business transient revenue.
  • Assist with booking and managing individual and long-term travel reservations.
  • Cultivate relationships with luxury travel agencies, consortia partners (Virtuoso, Signature, Amex FHR, SmartFlyer, Internova, etc.), and wholesale accounts.
  • Negotiate and maintain preferred corporate and leisure contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with resort standards.
  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities, including corporate travelers, golf/leisure groups, and long-term guests.
  • Host property tours, site inspections, and FAM trips to showcase The Boca Raton’s offerings.

Client Relationship Management 

  • Build long-term relationships with key accounts and corporate partners.
  • Coordinate amenities, client gifts, pre-arrival, and courtesy services for on-property guests, as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with the reservations, operations, and revenue teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Create bespoke experiences for leisure travelers, focusing on the resort’s unique offerings, including spa services, golf, dining, and private beach access.
  • Consistently meets and conducts property tours in a hospitable and professional manner reflective of a five-star service environment.
  • All communications and tasks should be completed with the highest level of detail and professionalism, including luxury language with polished written and verbal communications.

 

Market Insights & Reporting: 

  •  Stay abreast of trends in luxury travel, corporate travel behavior, and competitor strategies.
  • Generate regular reports on market performance, account activity, and revenue contributions
  • Participate in daily/weekly sales meetings, revenue management meetings and training.

Internal Relationships 

Reports to the Director of Sales, Leisure 

 

External Relationships 

Has regular contact with resort guests and members. Maintains appropriate relationships with these and other constituencies to enhance the image of the Company and the attainment of its objectives. 

 

Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements: 

Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. 

 

Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks & projects effectively and efficiently. 

 

Ability to manage oneself with the ability to organize & prioritize and complete work assignments on time. 

 

Overcome roadblocks and objections with creative problem-solving skills. 

 

Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills. 

 

Knowledge of office management principles and procedures. 

 

Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse operation. 

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or specialized certifications (e.g., CHA, CMP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hotel or resort operations, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • High attention to detail and an ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment: 

  • Environment: Primarily in a high-end hotel or resort environment with high guest traffic.
  • Hours: Variable hours based on business needs, with availability for on-call situations during peak times or guest needs.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods.

 

Physical Requirements:
 

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
