Position Objective:
As the Manager of Business Development, you will be leading opportunities to establish the introduction and technology transfer of Spear Bio’s high-performing and expanding Immunoassay platform in the Life Sciences and CRO markets. This will include:
Collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders and partners to introduce Spear Bio’s Products.
Promoting a unique high value, State-of-the-Art Technology service in the Immunoassay Field.
Supporting our strategic partnership with Bio-techne, the leader in Immunoassays.
Communicating to the market our superior Sensitive, Specific, and top-performing assays.
Responsibilities:
Build a Commercial Assay Development Service for Spear Bio, driving revenue growth.
Utilize your network to expand the outreach of our offering to relevant markets.
Assist Bio-techne to meet and beat the obligations of their financial commitment to Spear Bio.
Work closely with our R&D teams to establish our capabilities and expectations in the lab to meet the needs of the growing assay development services program.
Create a process and project workflow format to provide efficiency and manage expectations for our customers, internal stakeholders, and partners in providing assay development services.
Develop a concise business plan and regularly review and refine key milestones.
Provide regular updates and forecasting to your manager and others to build momentum.
Spend a significant amount of time in customer meetings to understand opportunities and gaps.
Follow all company guidelines, with the highest moral ethics in conducting your activity.
Requirements/Qualifications:
BS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering + 4 years of experience; or Advanced degree + 6-8 years of experience in sales, business development, pre-sales field application support, or customer-facing role presenting ultrasensitive immunoassay products and services, or neurology products and services to customers.
High quality and pro-active communicator with high energy and strong work ethic for success.
Positive, Collaborative, and team oriented to drive company success and meet all challenges.
Knowledge of various markets including Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Academic market segments, as well as knowledge of the IVD market.
Experience in meeting higher level scientific contacts in the market segments of interest.
Strategic mindset and the ability to translate your observations into strategy.
Comfortable giving and receiving feedback designed to improve engagement and results.
