Job Summary
The People & Culture Specialist provides foundational support to the Business Partner team while collaborating with the Total Rewards/Operations, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition teams within the People & Culture department. This position collaborates on the creation, communication and execution of human resources programs, policies, processes, and initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • HR Systems & Data Management: Maintains and optimizes HRIS and ATS systems, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. Analyzes workforce trends and providing insights to support decision-making
  • Recruitment Coordination & Support: Partners with hiring managers to facilitate job requisitions, ensure job postings are optimized, and support employer branding efforts. Identifies opportunities to improve ATS functionality and hiring workflows
  • Talent Acquisition Operations: Manages the candidate experience adhering to best practices for interview coordination, background checks, and offer management. Serves as a point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless recruitment process
  • Organizational Support: Supports organizational structure and workforce planning by maintaining org charts, compiling key documentation for organizational changes, and advising leadership on workforce trends and optimizations
  • HR Policy & Compliance Support: Manages HR document storage and ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures. Advises on process improvements for document management and reporting
  • Employee Experience & Engagement: Conducts exit interviews, compiles data, and identifies trends to support retention and engagement efforts
  • Learning & Development Assistance: Collaborates with L&D to support learning initiative and trainings by coordinating logistics, tracking participation, and assessing training effectiveness. Creates, updates, and maintains manager toolkits
  • HR Communications & Content Management: Maintains the People & Culture intranet page and assists in developing internal communications related to HR programs and initiatives
  • Process & Program Support: Contributes to continuous improvement efforts within HR operations, talent acquisition, and workforce planning by identifying efficiencies and supporting implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources a relevant field or a combination of education is preferred
  • Three (3) years experience in Human Resources
  • Solid understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks concurrently and be adaptable to new assignments, systems, and tools
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Process oriented, capable of understanding, defining, and following processes with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with a high degree of discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to build rapport with department team members and co-workers across the organization
  • Ability to maintain hybrid work schedule and report to the office in Portland, OR 3 days and week with flexibility for events.

Travel Required: This role will not involve travel

Base Salary: $77,343.00 - $82,000.00 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
