Hourly Rate: $22 hr. - $33 hr. Depending on experience. Plus, Monthly Incentives, Quarterly Bonuses, Referral Opportunities

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for establishing and enhancing a strong member centric relationship with the members of MY Credit Union. The relationship is centered around interviewing members and recommending appropriate individualized solutions that help MY Credit Union members achieve their financial goals. As a MY Credit Union Financial Solutions Representative you will exemplify superior member service through professional member consultations, provide expertise for MY Credit Union’s service and product offerings, onboarding of new members to MY Credit Union, and acting as a professional resource to MY Credit Union’s frontline team.
ESSENTUIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend and promote MY Credit Union products and services to ensure that the member’s financial needs and MY Credit Union’s growth objectives are met.
- Identify members’ financial needs and markets appropriate MY Credit Union products and services.
- Initiate contact or follow up on all service and referral leads in a timely basis with outbound calls and/or correspondence. These include; new accounts, certificate renewals, referrals, promotion follow up, etc. Record the referrals for future reference
- Orient new members to MY Credit Union’s products, services and policies and solicits additional business; advises denied applicants on turn down.
- Actively cross sells and maintain up-to-date knowledge on all products and services.
Execute the new account application process to extend needed financial services and expand credit union membership.
- Interview prospective member and collect necessary credit reports, and other required member information.
- Analyze application for credit worthiness and fraud prevention; in order to approve or deny membership application.
- Complete computing and documenting procedures to open new accounts or document and provide denial notice of membership application.
- Assist members with IRA setup and transaction requests.
- Process wire transfer requests per credit union procedure.
- Provide assistance with online banking, mobile banking, and phone banking maintenance requests.
- Promptly sends account cards to the Operations department for review and verification.
Act as the main point of contact during the loan process for members to ensure optimal service, sales and accuracy.
- Inform members of MY Credit Union’s loan products, present individualized solutions (rates, projections, payment, schedule, etc.), and recommend appropriate products and terms.
- Interview loan applicants and collects necessary credit reports and transmit recorded data to the underwriting department.
- Advise applicants of underwriting decisions; provides advice regarding credit extension and alternatives.
- Perform computing and documenting procedures to close approved loans; computes applicable fees and completes necessary title work; reviews disclosures and orients members to loan terms and requirements.
- Responsible to achieve identified penetration percentages in the product categories of GAP, MBP, and payment protection.
- Promptly sends loan file to the LSD department for document compliance and follow up on title tracking.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Perform routine member service transactions, including but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, selling gift cards, etc.
- Respond and resolve member’s requests.
- Provide account information regarding account status, current balances and loan payoffs.
- Provide support to the MSR staff with check holds and other verification processes.
- Follow internal security procedures for member identification.
- Follow internal balancing procedures.
- Follow Safe Deposit Box procedures for member access
Perform other duties as assigned to support effective member and branch operations

- Follow MY Credit Union’s Harassment, Discrimination and Respectful Conduct Policy and the Fraud Policy/Code of Ethics Statement.
- Complies with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/CIP (U.S. Patriot Act) procedures and policies.
- Safeguard the confidentiality and security of member information and other sensitive data, in accordance with MY Credit Union’s policies and procedures
- To remain compliant with all other MY Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
- Be an effective team member through cooperation, flexibility, dependability, attendance, lack of tardiness and participation at meetings and training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2 years or more of customer service.
- Credit Union experience preferred.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to speak effectively to members and employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret basic forms, credit union documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Desire, ability and experience in working with and helping people in a professional setting with a professional business appearance.
- Up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all MY Credit Union products and services.
- Proficiently operate a computer. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating system. Ability to use copy machine, fax machine, typewriter, printer and general office equipment.
- Must be well organized and able to manage time well.
- Understand MY Credit Union's core system.

Physical Requirements:
- The employee must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods (6-8 hours a day).
- Use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard.
Working Conditions:
- Stress varies depending on workflow from high to low.
- Some travel between offices may be required.
