The Role
Project Manager (NAM)
We are seeking a Project Manager experienced in creative agency processes. You will be the lynchpin across multiple departments and disciplines, to bring together the right talents, resources and financials. You will be responsible for the day-to-day project management of client account(s) by partnering with account leadership to deliver operational/financial discipline, delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to the business. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing multifaceted marketing programs to ensure successful delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. This position requires a proven track record in project management, marketing, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of leadership and hands-on experience in managing complex marketing campaigns.
The Project Manager will report to the Program Director and Account lead and work closely with the account management team as well as demand/media, strategists, creatives and other departments.
Competitive salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Effectively apply agency workflow processes using available software tools.
- Accurately scope out and provide budget estimates for projects, ensuring all pertinent information is obtained from the relevant resource within agreed timeframes. This includes any external purchases (such as digital, print, video production, translations etc.).
- Produce and maintain detailed and robust schedules/timing plans.
- Drive commercial profitability of projects by ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Stay on top of changes to project scope, schedule, and unforeseen costs at any stage of projects.
- Lead the day-to-day execution of client projects working in the detail of the initiative with a deep understanding of the campaign.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, applying attention to detail and leaving no stones unturned. Identify and foresee upcoming project challenges before problems surface. And if they do, mitigate and provide solutions in a timely fashion.
- Proactively identify and address project issues or challenges, escalating as needed to ensure prompt resolution and minimal impact on project success.
- Maintain vendor and freelance relationships, ensuring 3rd party’s delivery of projects on brief, on time, to budget, maintaining the highest possible quality.
- Coordinate writing of strategic briefs. Ensure account strategic lead (strategy team or head of practice) inputs into the relevant areas of the brief and reviews final brief before sharing with client / internal teams.
- Lead producing campaign specific proposals with the support of strategy / heads of practice. Proposals can include channel planning/ marketing mix, and GTM proposals within campaigns.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting notes, action items, and project status reports, to keep clients informed of project progress and next steps.
- Maintain financial accuracy through project software to ensure revenue and profitability reports are precise.
- Responsible for tracking sales + revenue and keeping HubSpot, sales + revenue recognition trackers up to date (daily) on projects where you are the client day to day and/or project lead.
Resource Management
- Allocate resources effectively across programs, including budget management, staffing, and external partnerships.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure work is scheduled and that resources are prioritized accordingly.
- Find and implement strategies and solutions to resourcing challenges as they arise.
Client Management
- Communicate clearly and effectively to Clients to ensure nothing is lost in translation and to ensure accuracy of briefs through to delivery.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients on a diverse cross section of delivery focused projects, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction on delivery.
- Lead client project WIP meetings and communications to provide updates on program progress and address any concerns.
- Coordinate and partner with other departments such as Strategy, Media or Creatives on client presentations. Direct escalations to client relationship lead where needed. Invite practice department lead where required.
- Monitor client satisfaction levels throughout the project lifecycle, soliciting feedback and making necessary adjustments to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
Leadership
- Train and mentor junior members of the team in best practices and platform proficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance program management capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in project or account management within a fast-paced digital agency environment.
- Proven track record in delivering through-the-line campaigns that consist of marketing deliverables such as eBooks, infographics, emails, websites, videos etc.
- Solid scoping, budgeting, financial understanding, timelines and SOWs essential.
- Strong understanding of agency operations and media processes > in planning, managing, and reconciling media finances in collaboration with media planners.
- Ensure that delivery momentum is maintained by solving problems, unblocking issues and managing risks and dependencies so that work is not held up.
- Solid experience and understanding of project financial data management and the revenue recognition method of accounting.
- Confident in liaising directly with clients and collaborating with other departments to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Great time management and self-motivation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders. Ability to resource manage regional creative teams whilst working with global offices to maximise creative utilisation across all regions.
- Agility to work autonomously, and as part of a team.
- Experience project managing in a B2B technology environment whether agency or client side a huge plus.
- Strong analytical skills to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum would be an advantage.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and drive innovation in project management methodologies.
