What does the Account team do?
Our account teams are dedicated professionals who demonstrate industry best in class client leadership across today’s top retailers and brands. Their primary focus is understanding the Clients business objectives and translating those to successful outcomes across a range of Retail Merchandising initiatives including managing the development and distribution of merchandising/point-of-sale materials, and field sales In leading and managing the Client’s business day-to-day, Account teams own the delivery on annual IMS P&Ls. Each level across the account team has a defined responsibility that contributes to achieving the annual budget goal

What’s the opportunity?
IMS is currently seeking an Account Executive, to work with a team to execute our key client projects and promotions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to collaborate across teams in account, account operations, production, and client services. The person will have the ability to multitask in actioning key activities and aide in achieving key deliverables in support of client campaigns and initiatives. This executive will collaborate both internally and externally with key IMS counterparts as well as client and agency partners. This position will report into a Sales Manager. This is a fast paced, challenging work environment with room to grow.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Field day-to-day inquiries from Client, Agency partners, and IMS counterparts to support total team workflow and timelines
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently, and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and prepare a point of view for path forward.
- Assist with and facilitate content for regular client status meetings.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by identifying issues and taking proactive actions.
Demonstrating Superior Service:
- Across Client, Agency, Integrated Teams and IMS internal teams, including but not limited to Account Team, Client Services, Production and Finance
Client & Integrated Team Relationship Management:
- Understand expectations and goals, reworking unreasonable demands into positive achievable outputs. Build credible relationships and act as key liaison between Client, Agencies, and IMS.
The skills and experience you have
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a proven history of career progression or personal advancement
- Preferably 1-2 years of account experience in Agency, or Marketing & Merchandising Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly PowerPoint, and able to learn and adapt to new software formats
- Proven communications skills and track record of successful client management and relationships
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both internally and externally
- Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor under pressure
- Some travel may be required
