 Job Description 

The Controls Installer I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the installation of building automation and control systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems. This role involves working under supervision to install wiring, devices, and control panels according to project specifications and safety standards.

 Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive) 

· Assist in the installation of conduit, wiring, and control devices for building automation systems.

· Mount and connect control panels, sensors, and related components as directed.

· Follow job specifications, drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and OSHA safety guidelines.

· Support senior installers and technicians during system checkout and commissioning.

· Organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks.

· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and issues.

· Complete basic documentation such as time sheets and material usage reports.

 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical or HVAC preferred.

· Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring practices.

· Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and wiring diagrams.

· Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
