Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead to join our finance team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations of the AR department, ensuring the accurate and timely collection of receivables, and maintaining precise financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and experience in healthcare billing, with a solid understanding of payer rules. Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily AR operations, ensuring timely and accurate collection of receivables

- Manage and mentor AR staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment

- Maintain and reconcile financial records and reports related to accounts receivable

- Utilize the Paylocity system to manage AR functions and ensure data integrity

- Act as the primary liaison between third-party vendors and the offshore AR team

- Facilitate clear communication, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with contractual terms

- Monitor payer rules and ensure billing processes adhere to healthcare regulations

- Analyze AR aging reports and implement strategies to improve collection performance

- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes


Skills and Qualifications:

- 3 to 5 years of experience in healthcare billing and accounts receivable management

-  High school diploma required; associate degree preferred

- Strong knowledge of payer rules and healthcare billing regulations

- Proven leadership and team management skills

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Proficiency in Paylocity or similar payroll and HR systems

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping
