Pay Range: $24.18 to $36.27
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. Kwik Trip, Inc. is looking for a Space Planner to be part of the Merchandising team. This position maintains, creates, implements and coordinates planograms for Kwik Trip/Kwik Star, Stop N Go, Kwik Spirits, TOPG and TOP locations.
Regular tasks include:
- Creates and revises planograms for multiple stores and categories through collaboration with Category Management team to execute merchandising strategies that are aligned with company goals (vertical integration) and are focused on delivering value.
- Communicates with and supports the stores regarding merchandising initiatives and policies. Works in the field to ensure execution that will drive profitability and enhance the customer experience.
- Responsible for accuracy of planograms and fixtures to ensure all plans are executable at store level.
- Generates and analyzes reporting to enhance space and assortment decisions. Proactively evaluates key trends to identify and recommend options to drive business strategy. Assists in post analysis to measure success.
- Obtains a thorough understanding of the systems, tools and processes. Utilizes this knowledge to develop and execute merchandising initiatives for the stores.
- Participates in the planning and execution of merchandise updates and store resets to increase performance and meet company objectives.
- Increases sales margin per sq. ft. of store, department, category, and shelf space for all locations through rigorous analysis, space management tools and well-developed processes.
- Contributes to, participates in, and supports continuous improvements and advancement efforts for the space management tools and processes.
- Collaborates with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and knowledge.
- Go out into field and perform new store set ups and resets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in at least two of the following: space management, category management, visual merchandising, retail, procurement/purchasing, vendor relations, or retail marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Must possess a drive for producing quality work, and proactively explore opportunities to ensure efficiency and excellence through enhancements to processes or systems.
- Blue Yonder/JDA Category Management Suite preferred (Space Planning or relevant solution)
- Strong analytical skill with the ability to identify and understand issues and opportunities, using effective approaches for problem solving.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and shift priorities when experiencing changes in direction; must be able to adapt to new assignments, processes or requirements.
- Capability to build collaborative relationships and trust with others, and effectively contribute to a team.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
Work Schedule: This is an hourly office position (45-50 hours/week on average with some occasional additional OT), office based out of La Crosse Support Center, typically Monday through Friday working daytime shifts with some occasional travel (average weekly travel could be 1 overnight stays per week based on project needs).
