SCHOOL COUNSELOR
2025-2026 School Year
Full-Time Long-Term Replacement Position
Effective: November 2025 - April 2026
Position Overview
The Millstone Township School District is seeking a creative, student-centered School Counselor to serve students in grades Pre-K through 2. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a collaborative, caring community of educators dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and academic success of every child.
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate (required)
Master’s Degree in School Counseling or related field
Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI)
Knowledge of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) laws and procedures; experience serving as HIB Anti-Bullying Specialist (preferred)
Experience with HIBster platform (preferred)
Background in character education program implementation
Ability to design and deliver engaging classroom lessons and targeted small group interventions

Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture
The ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and outside service providers

A proactive approach to supporting student mental health and well-being
Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with early learners

Salary Range: $66,600 - $70,600*
Salary & Benefits: *Per negotiated contract based on years of experience & degrees earned
