Position Summary:
Assist Guest Service Supervisor with employee staffing, training and motivating the Guest Service Team. Will have the most in-depth knowledge of the products, discounts, coupons and how to process everything within our Point of Sale. Will perform sales transactions and order fulfillment for ticket and/or season pass products using a computer. Interact with many guests both face to face and through phone conversations.
Requires working weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Assist Guest Service Supervisor create a friendly and helpful team environment.
- Coach staff through difficult transactions including assisting on any refunds that require a supervisor sign off.
- Will alter and communicate with staff daily labor based on current day’s business level.
- Process sales and order fulfillment through our Point of Sale computer system, including processing discounts, coupons and other product specials.
- Sell daily lift ticket products as well as season long products, including parking, lockers and season passes.
- Answer phone and return calls on our Guest Service phone line.
- Compiles all cashier’s daily till reports into a final revenue report for accounting.
- Handle both positive and negative guest interactions with grace and composure. Maintaining a helpful and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong knowledge of Schweitzer and all product offerings including village activities and special events. Ability to troubleshoot anything thrown your way.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Shovel snow
- Responsible for keeping office areas neat and clean
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- None but a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Technical- Computer skills required with previous point of sale system experience, cash handling, 10-key typing
Physical Capabilities- Should be able to stand/walk for full 8 hour shift
Additional- Strong public relations and guest service background and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- English reading, writing and verbal communication plus basic math required.
Minimum time in related position- At least 1 year of customer service and cashier experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Ski industry experience preferred.
