About you
To be successful, you’ll be/have:
- To provide front line support to the Income Management Team
- Verification of tenancies; rental and service charge amounts via the Department of Works & Pensions’ (DWP) Universal Credit Landlord Portal
- Ensure all accounts for services provided across the company are effectively managed and monitored
- Assess the need for and make referrals to meet additional support requirements to Rent Management officer and to external specialist organisations as appropriate
- Monitoring of all Introductory Tenancies and process arrears actions as necessary including recommendation of introductory extension
- Process all refunds, write offs and other journal requests and once verified, input on the Housing Management System
- Check all incoming post on a daily basis and action or distribute accordingly
- Management of the teams’ mailboxes
- Reconciliation & posting of CHL properties Housing Benefit payments
- Nomination shortlisting checks reference new tenants’ suitability
- Dealing with all income related queries, missing payments and incorrect allocation of income – to resolution
- Support the team to keep all computer records, files notes, letters, correspondence, statistical data and other documentation relating to cases up to date and stored correctly in line with GDPR requirements
- Assist with year-end procedures and activities as required
- Provide assistance to Rent Management Officers within the Income Management Team as required
- Maintain and develop partnership working to sustain tenancies and deliver the aims of the Landlord Services, both internally and externally, with partner agencies and the Council
- Ensure compliance with and promote Cornwall Housing’s Safeguarding Policy
- Ensure compliance with and promote Cornwall Housing’s Equality & Diversity policies and practices
- To carry out responsibilities for health & safety as detailed in sections 3 (as appropriate) of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy

Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: This is a fixed term contract for 9 month due to maternity. Existing CHL employees are welcome to apply as a secondment opportunity, but please discuss this with your manager before applying.
Base: Your base will be our main office in Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR. This role requires you to typically work from the office at least 2 days per week.
