Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Consultant with hands-on experience in Guidewire Claims Centre impementations and a strong background in the insurance sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of core insurance platforms, supporting the delivery of high-performing, customer-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Creation of a Test Strategy encompassing End to End testing, Regression and UAT testing phases
- Creation of Test scripts for both phases, ensuring full traceability to requirements
- Execution of testing during E2E and Regression phases
- Providing QA oversight on the system testing carried out by the SI partner
- Liaising with the business stakeholders during UAT phase to help document progress, and capture defects on Jira
- Manage the defect dashboards on Jira, and provide MI as required
- Leading daily triage calls and working closely with the BA and Dev teams to ensure defects are correctly prioritized and resolved
- Ensuring the business users understand their role during UAT.
- Working with the PM & Business stakeholders to help assist with business readiness activities
- Assisting automation test team to create automated test scripts for regression testing
- Support the business users during the post go live warranty period, helping log issues and managing the backlog
- Documenting risks and issues and ensure these are communicated to the PM and managed to closure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
Essential skills
- Knowledge of test tools eg Jira, Xray
- Prior experience of Guidewire Claim Management System.
- Understanding of key Lloyds market terminology and understanding of market messaging.
- Understanding of automation tools & methodologies would be advantageous (Selenium, Python, PyCharm, Gitlab)
Experience
- Proven experience as a Software Tester within the London Market Insurance domain
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SoapUI)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with cloud-based environments and DevOps practices.
