Opportunity for Impact: Reporting to the VP of Communications, you’ll shape and execute Payoneer’s organic social media strategy across Asia Pacific, while also supporting internal and external communications as needed. You will partner closely with local communications, brand and marketing teams to build a cohesive, engaging, and measurable social presence. You’ll establish and oversee the APAC social content calendar, help manage regional agency partners, and help shape Payoneer’s voice on social platforms relevant in APAC such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and others. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution—someone who is creative, collaborative, globally minded, and deeply passionate about social media’s role in driving brand and business impact.
Role and Responsibilities:
APAC Strategy and Social Leadership
• Develop and implement Payoneer’s APAC organic social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand and business priorities.
• Collaborate with the global team to adapt content for APAC relevance within legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Create and maintain the APAC editorial calendar, coordinating key campaigns, and storytelling moments.
• Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging tools, and best practices—bringing fresh ideas and testing new formats
Content Development and Engagement
• Partner with internal teams – including global comms/marketing/creative/SEO, product, and employer brand to produce compelling, social-first content that highlights our brand, customers, and impact.
• Manage day-to-day execution across APAC accounts, with a focus on consistency, quality, and relevance.
• Guide real-time engagement, social listening, and community interaction in partnership with regional teams.
• Work closely with Customer Support team to ensure timely escalation and resolution of customer complaints, inquiries, or negative sentiment on social and community platforms.
• Support thought leadership and executive visibility on social, particularly on LinkedIn.
Cross-Functional and Paid Alignment
• Collaborate with performance marketing to align organic and paid strategies for greater reach and results.
• Partner with internal communications, employer brand, and customer teams to amplify campaigns and initiatives.
• Ensure messaging is consistent and well-coordinated across social, web, email, and other external-facing channels. Governance, Analytics, and Optimization
• Define KPIs and track performance, sharing regular insights and recommendations with stakeholders.
• Monitor brand safety, ensure governance, and manage social escalation protocols when needed.
Agency and Regional Team Collaboration
• Help manage APAC social media agencies and provide strategic guidance to ensure local execution aligns with global goals.
• Coordinate with global to drive consistency and knowledge sharing among APAC teams.
• Support campaign planning and post-campaign analysis across markets.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital content, or brand communications—ideally in B2B, fintech, regulated, or platform-based industries.
• Strong grasp of global social media trends, platform dynamics, and how to engage professional and entrepreneurial audiences.
• Experience managing multi-market campaigns, working with agencies, and leading content programs.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a sharp eye for brand voice and tone.
• Analytical mindset with experience using social performance data to refine strategy and report impact.
• Confident collaborator who thrives in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
