Data Engineering Advisor - Keying & LinkingWhat does a successful Advisor of Data Engineering (Keying & Linking) do at Fiserv?
As a member of our Data Commerce Solutions group, you will build and take ownership of the design and development of data engineering projects within Fiserv’s Enterprise Data Commerce Solutions division. With strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and a keen attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality products, you will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the data engineering lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your stakeholders daily to stay focused on common goals.
You will work hands-on in building the platform to key and link internal and external data sources using PII, PCI and account information. You have an in-depth knowledge of data quality principles, methodologies, and best practices, including data profiling, data cleansing, data validation, and data governance and will define data quality metrics, automate, and monitor the changes in the KNL repository. By working with key stakeholders, you will ensure that project deliveries are aligned with the expected business outcomes and mitigate any business and technical risk.
What you will do:
- Hands-on development in Java/Python to ingest, manage and monitor PII/PCI data with keen eye to automate the workflow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions and keep track of deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and software development methodologies to deliver high-quality and scalable software solutions
- Monitor and analyze software development metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team productivity, efficiency, and code quality
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or 7+ years of relevant software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a senior software development role using Java & Python
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Keying & Linking, or Identity/Entity resolution.
- Proficient with Azure Cloud or other major cloud platforms, and knowledge of deploying and managing APIs in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency with solutions for processing large volumes of data, using data processing tools and Big Data platforms, like Databricks.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like Yugabyte, Cassandra or REDIS.
- Experience delivering complex software projects/products on time and within budget.
- Experience in performance tuning, CI/CD tools and software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
What would be great to have:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience working within a Credit Bureau.
- Experience in Banking, Cards, Payments.
- Experience working with Fraud, Ad-Tech or Mar-Tech.
